Dolphins, Environment & Charity Finance

Hey Everyone,

Continuing with my new years resolution to try to make the world a better place I have 2 new things that I am asking for your help with & one that I am looking to help you with.

#1 - Saving Dolphins Lives (it will only take 30 seconds to do this
form):

Every year, 20,000 dolphins are killed off the coast of Japan and by petitioning the Japanese Government to act against this slaughter we may be able to make a difference. These barbaric killings are subsidized by the sale of live dolphins by fishermen to the international aquarium market, which pays upwards of $45,000 for specimens to be used in dolphin shows and swim-with-dolphin entertainments. Right now American aquarium specialists are buying 12 bottlenose dolphins for the Ocean World amusement park in the Dominican Republic.

We think the trade and slaughter of dolphins is wrong and should be stopped immediately. If you think so too please support our petition to the Japanese government with your online signature:

#2 - Saving the environment (for US people only, again about 30 seconds to sign up):

Al Gore (www.algore.com) is going to congress trying to have 350,000+ signatures by Wednesday to have congress do something about global warming. As he says, "I know from personal experience that the only thing that will make Washington really take notice and do something to solve the climate crisis is the prospect of millions of committed citizens taking action. It's time to join together and make that happen." He is going to Congress on Wednesday, if nothing else maybe we will make some kind of effort to cut emissions.

#3 - Ever wondered about your favorite charities financial picture...

The Charity Navigator (www.charitynavigator.org) is now able to give you insight. This tool allows you to access the way a charity handles it finances. It gives rating as to how the money is being used with 4 star organizations being the best. Now this is only half the puzzle as it does not rate how well the money is spent, but if you have a charity you believe in you can check out how they handle themselves.

I hope at least someone found this interesting & appreciates this. I know that I got a great response from the original helping message, even having people pass along the recommendations to their friends.

If you know other things that are easy for people to do or that will help please let me know & I am always willing to pass it along. Just let me know if you don't want this type of message from me anymore.

Love & Peace!
